Dynamic Abstract Project

In this posting, we used Adobe Illustrator, we had to take a famous painting, I choose Iowa American Gothic, and turn it into our own artwork following these guidelines. The major rule was only squares or rectangles could be used and second only 3 other colors beside black, white, and gray. I choose red, blue, green because these colors were in the picture. I ran into a roadblock when I had to color the people because white was the color of the house but the people could not be one of the colors I choose or white because it would have fading in and not look right. I choose gray to color the people so the artwork is not truly accurate to the people true color. The project was challenging but was also neat to experience.

Letters and Boxes

In Adobe Illustrator, we created 9 box that were all even. Then used the colors white, grey, and black and switched back and forth between the three and colored the boxes. Then choose three letters and did the same with colors while we also changed the sizes, the rotation and placement of them. Then after the black, white, grey we choose our own three colors and did the same stuff as above. Below are my two projects.

"Chief" Rock Project

We scanned an image and then in Photoshop, I choose a rock aka Chief Rock and from there, we traced the rock and then colored it, then made it a new background. After that, we dropped an overlay on the rock and the final piece is what seen in this post.

Chapter 6 Exercise

In Adobe Illustrator we work with the pen tool and drawing lines and how they connect with each other so the line or curves connect with each other. Above is what I finished.
